Indian Oil Increases the Prices of Petrol and Diesel

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has increased the prices of petrol and diesel with effect from midnight of 16th May/17th May 2016. According to the revised prices, the retail selling price of petrol in National Capital Delhi (including state levies) has increased by Rs 0.83/litre and the price of diesel in the Capital(including state levies) has increased by Rs1.26/liter. With this price revision, the new prices of petrol and diesel will be Rs 63.02/liter and Rs51.67/liter respectively. There are corresponding changes in the prices of petrol and diesel in other states as well.

According to a press note released by Indian Oil Corporation, the change of price is being passed to the consumers because of the current level of international product prices of petrol & diesel and INR-USD exchange rate warrant rise in the prices of petrol and diesel.
The movement of prices in the international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and emergent trends of the market will be reflected in the price changes of the coming days.
