The present Facebook India MD, Kirthiga Reddy to take on a new role at the firm’s headquarter in US
Facebook India selected Umang Bedi as its managing director. He will take the charge from Kirthiga Reddy the present Facebook India MD, who will be taking on a new role at the company’s US headquarter located at Menlo Park.
Umang Bedi, who has approximately two decades of leadership experience, has served Abode India – South Asia for more than 5 years as MD. Bedi will officially join Facebook from the month of July. As part of Adobe’s Asia Pacific leadership team, he led Adobe’s business operations that include growing the sales and marketing functions, driving strategic partnerships and alliances and driving cloud services opportunities within the enterprise, government, education and SMB sector in the South Asia region.
Bedi has also worked at senior positions with reputed companies like Wipro, Sun Microsystems, Symantec, Intuit Inc. Of which, he considers his career at Symantec – as the Head of Banking, Financial Services & Insurance Vertical – was instrumental in shaping up his career.

Bedi is an engineering graduate (Electronics) from the University of Pune and has attended Harvard Business School’s general management programme. He has also been honoured as 40 Under 40 – India’s Hottest Business Leaders – By Economic Times & Spencer Stuart in 2014
