Good news for film buffs in Delhi, Jagran film festival is coming soon

A film festival to watch local, national and international films of diverse colours

Whether you are a regular film goer, an aspiring film maker or anyone who is passionate about films, the 7th Jgaran Film Festival is the event you should keep an eye on. This year, the Film Festival will be held at Siri Fort Auditorium, Asian Games Village in Delhi from 1st to 5th July.

The Jagran film festival  is a travelling film festival which starts its journey from Delhi every year and passes though Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, Hisar, Ludhiana, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Indore, and Bhopal and finally concludes in Mumbai.

A plethora of excellent movies across various genre in different languages around the world including some marvelous short films get space in the screening here. The festival is also platform for both critically acclaimed and cult movies. Not only this, the film festival also endeavours to create well-informed viewers through various talk shows and panel discussions. Besides, those who want to pursue their career in films can also take part in various workshops related to writing, acting and direction, and get chance to learn from the experts.

In 2015, the Jagran film festival travelled through 16 towns screening more than 400 films, catering to 50, 00 people and conducting 16 cinema appreciation programmes. This year, the Festival received great response from filmmakers internationally and received a record number of film entries, over 3,000 as on date.
