Tata Steel got the ‘National Award for Outstanding Achievement in Industrial Relations’ award by All India Organisation of Employers (AIOE).The award was presented at the Annual General Meeting of AIOE held in Federation House, Delhi on May 9, 2016
Mr Suresh Dutt Tripathy, Vice President,Human Resource Management, Tata Steel represented the company at the event and received the award from Mr Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of Labour & Employment, Government of India presented the award.
The award recognizes organizations across industries that have the best practices in industrial relations. The winner, Tata Steel, went through a rigorous selection process comprising of three stages. The first stage (nomination) was based on an application submitted by the company on the jury criteria. This was followed by a regional presentation round where eight to ten companies were selected from each zone, and then came the final round, the national level round, held on May 9 with ten finalists.
Finally, Tata Steel came out as the winner. Apparently, Tata Steel follows a very good industrial relations policy in order to create conducive environment for its employees.
